Millthorpe Garden Nursery

Set among a parkland garden, the retail plant nursery provides an outdoor experience for garden lovers. The original planting was designed with the help and influence of the renowned Australian landscaper from the Blue Mountains, Paul Sorensen.

The unique Wollemi pine is a feature of the garden along with another "dinosaur tree" - the Ginkgo biloba. The garden is in its full colour during spring and autumn when the deciduous maples, malus, oaks and shrubs are at their best. The gift shop at the nursery stocks garden related gifts eg pots, bulbs, indoor plants and more. Visitors often return to the nursery and take home one or more of the many cold climate plants or gifts in stock.

The Nurseryman, Ian Rogan, is happy to talk to garden clubs and other interested tour groups on topics such as native tree planting for cold climates, plant selection or care and trees or plants suited to harsh winters.
